Anyone mildly interested in the car scene has certainly heard of the Nissan Skyline or GT-R. They are Japanese legends in the tuner world and rivaled only by the Mazda RX-7s or Toyota Supras of the 90s. There was only one catch, you couldn’t get the Nissan in America.
That is until now. The R32 Nissan Skyline (1988-1994) has finally hit the 25 year mark for legal import into the U.S. That means the right-hand drive, 280 hp GT-R model is finally attainable by guys like you and me who always wanted one as a kid but had to settle for an Evo or an STI (not that those are bad cars!).
The reason I love this photo, and is now my personal phone background, is because it shows 20 years of GT-R DNA. Sure the car has changed drastically, but the subtle aspects such as the taillights carried over from generation to generation. It’s also rare around here to get both cars in the same place at the same time!
