Normally I don’t get hyped up with celebrity news but this combination was too good to pass up. I’m a McLaren fanboy, I love The Weeknd, and his new song ‘Starboy’ is dope. So when the Weeknd is driving a McLaren P1 with a black panther in the front seat in his new music video, try and stop me from sharing!
In the ‘Starboy’ video, he sings, “we don’t pray for love, we just pray for cars,” and you’ll catch a glimpse of the rest of his collection; a Lamborghini Aventador SV and a Bentley Mulsanne.
Since McLaren is only making 375 P1s, I had to do some research on whether Weeknd bought one or not. According to Billboard, they reached out to McLaren’s Director of Public Relations and he said it was a “great surprise for us to see The Weeknd’s P1 in his new video”. That’s some epic marketing for the small British company!
So not only does the Weeknd make great music, he also has a great taste in cars. If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to listen to this song 10 more times!
