    2019 Ram 1500 Reveal – NAIAS 2018

Ram's strongest and lightest 1500 ever.

The new 2019 Ram 1500 is exciting. There’s no other word for it. Revealed at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), it’s very much a new truck with a striking new grill design and a revamped interior. Right away the Ram features a new headlight and grill design. The headlights are available in three different options including predictive LEDs that angle up to 15 degrees depending on the steering angle. Other exterior updates include a new aluminum tailgate with spoiler to help decrease drag and increase fuel efficiency.

One engine update to the Ram 1500 includes a new Eco-diesel that is coming in 2019. That engine promised to blow the competition out of the water. A 20% increase in towing and 10% increase in MPG is also promised for the 2019 RAM 1500. Regenerative braking has also made it’s way to the Ram. Yes, you heard that right, the brakes capture energy lost in braking and provide up to a 130 lb-ft boost to the torque under acceleration.

The interior of the new RAM is even more exciting than the exterior updates. The first thing you’ll notice is that the infotainment system has been updated to fit a new 12” touchscreen coupled with a 19 speaker Harmon Kardon stereo system. No, that also wasn’t a misprint and no, this isn’t the new BMW X7, this is still a Ram 1500 pickup truck. One with a stereo to rival that of it’s German competitors. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can also be found here as well.
