Immediately following Import Soup was the kickoff to this year’s first SCCS Autocross event. For those of you who don’t know, the Sports Car Club of Siouxland (SCCS) puts on an Autocross event at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls, SD once a month during the summer months.
Autocross is the unique opportunity to drive your car as fast as you want around some cones in a giant parking lot. The cones outline the course and you compete to get the best time in your class. Splitting cars into classes ensures that your Honda Civic doesn’t have to go up against someones Nissan GT-R. But at the end of the day, it’s a chance for friends and fellow car lovers to burn some much needed rubber.
This was the first points race of the year so if you competed here are the results.
