The Dodge Challenger was first introduced from 1970-74. It was a pony car and shared a lot of components with the Plymouth Barracuda. The hottest Challengers did carry the R/T badge since their birth. The Challenger then made a short, and much uglier, comeback from 1978 to 1983.
