2012 Lexus LFA Still Turns Heads

Although this was a show about all of the upcoming 2015 models, the 2012 Lexus LFA still sat proudly on top of its perch and gleamed for attention. And it got it too. Almost everyone walking by stopped to get pictures with it. You could tell how happy it was by the stern look on its face.

So why does a car that’s borderline old news still demand so much respect? Well it’s half because there have only ever been 500 of them made, and half that each of those 500 were made by hand. Lexus did not mess around with this car. The LFA has a 4.8 liter V10 engine that puts out 550 hp at almost 9000 rpms. That’s Honda VTEC territory! (Sorry, had to)

Now you’re asking, is it better than the Nissan GT-R? Well it’s 4 times more expensive and the GT-R has a faster 0-60 time so there’s that. But don’t be discouraged yet. The Lexus gets to 100 mph faster and you’ll get that screaming V10 to keep you awake. The LFA also looks way better than the GT-R.

But is the price worth it? I’ll let you know when I get to drive them both.
