We know it’s not a real M5 Touring, but alas, it’s well on it’s way to being one! This BMW Wagon started life as a 525iT and had it’s inline 6 engine and transmission swapped to the E39 era M5 V8. Needless to say, we approve! The grumble of this V8 suits the big booty of the wagon. Practical AND fun!
This Touring has received the E39 M5’s engine, transmission, differential, axles, brakes, leather dash, doors, and seats. The 525iT’s air suspension delete has been replaced with adjustable perches and springs. And now this doll is off to a new owner who will finish it off. What’s left is wiring and converting the interior pieces to alcantara to be a complete M5 swap.
