Mostly the same on the outside, all new on the inside.

Mercedes’ infamous “G Wagon” has been on the road for over 40 years and although the design is relatively timeless, it has been getting stale. Now, at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Mercedes has revealed its all new G-Class the four door and drop top 2-door models. Okay, the exterior looks mostly unchanged, but the interior is now worthy of the luxury SUV’s brand name. Here are some fast facts on the 2019 Mercedes G Class.

    • All-new double wishbone suspension at the front axle
    • Stiffer front suspension so it drives better on the street
    • Wider front track
    • Twin turbocharged 4.0 liter V8 producing 416 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque (G550)
    • 9-speed automatic transmission
