The Fate of the Furious Trailer

Since Paul Walker’s untimely death, fans such as myself have been wondering where they’re going to take the franchise. Vin Diesel hinted at an 8th movie before 7 even came out and now the trailer has dropped. It originally went by the hashtag #F8 but the official title is The Fate of the Furious. I could explain what happens in the trailer for no reason or you can just watch it yourself below!

Pretty cool huh? The trailer wants you to believe that Dom is now the villain but I’m sure there is a motive behind it and he will end up saving the day. Also, I’m glad Jason Statham is making a return because who doesn’t love that guy?!

Now the cars. It wouldn’t be a Fast and Furious movie without some serious cars! In the trailer we see the usual Dodge Challengers and military vehicles but it looks like there is some cool stuff waiting for us as well!

In this scene, it appears the old team is trying to tear Dom’s car apart. Dom is in a 1971 Plymouth GTX (hell yeah!), while the team is driving (starting at noon going clockwise) a Mercedes AMG GT, classic Corvette Stingray, Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 (Presumably the Rock’s car), Bentley Continental GT (Some variation), and a Jaguar F-Type (Can’t tell if it’s S or R).

In this next still we see the team (minus Dom) walking into a (clearly computer animated) room of unlimited cars. That’s the dream right? There’s a whole pot load of models in there but I definitely see an Aston Martin, a Rolls Royce, and a Nissan GT-R.

In the final scene where they are all getting chased by military vehicles, Roman decides it would be best to have a Lamborghini Murcielago. Hey, all production Murcielagos were all-wheel-drive so at least they did their research!
