I am a big fan of Alfa Romeo and I was very excited when the 4C made its way across the pond. It has everything: Italian styling, the engine is in the back, 2-seats, and looks good in every color. But sales haven’t been so hot. They only sold 663 4Cs in the U.S. in 2015 and only 467 so far this year. Not so hot.
Then, last year, Alfa announced that their 4-door sedan, the Giulia, was going to enter the American market as well. This got me even more excited because it was supposed to be a practical Alfa that normal people could afford. When I saw one for the first time last March at the Twin Cities International Auto Show, I fell in love. Unfortunately, there was no pricing for the Giulia so we were left to hope it wasn’t too expensive… until now!
According to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), the base Alfa Romeo Giulia will start at $37,995. That’s BMW 3-series and Mercedes C-Class money for a car that will stand out. Then prices and options will go all the way up to $72,000 if you want the all-wheel-drive Quadrifoglio with a 505 hp 2.9 liter bi-turbo V6 engine. That’s the one pictured in the featured image above.
So if you want a Mercedes C-Class with Italian style or an Audi S6 but flashier, then hopefully the Alfa Romeo Giulia is the car for you! It would definitely be more exciting to have these on the road instead of the plethora of German sedans!
